The Time Machine is a grand science fiction novel written by H.G. Wells; it was his first work and is often regarded as his best. Even though he wrote many more books, this one has stuck throughout the centuries and is register by many readers, importantly because it is short, entertaining, and superbly imaginative.
Plot:
1.The main plot in the novel is the Time Travelers hazard into the future using his invention the Time Machine. He used it to travel into the future and he awoke in the year 802,701, when he arrived he expected to find a technologically advanced world, but instead he found curt people called Eloi, who as it turned out, had no technological advancements at all.
Later he discovered the Morlocks, scary beast-like creatures that dwell tube-shaped structure and only come up at night to feed in on the Eloi.
2.A subplot of the novel is the relationship between the Time Traveler and Weena, a little Eloi that he saved and therefore became friends with.
Characters:
1.The Time Traveler is the main character of the novel because even up though he doesnt narrate it he is the midway of attention and the whole novel focuses around his one adventure into the future.
2.The primary antagonists of the story are the Morlocks, a foul misshapen subterranean race that feed on the Eloi. They are the antagonists because they act to attack the Time Traveler and steal his time appliance to lure him to the sphinx where its being kept, once he arrives they gob him but he escapes. Hillyer is important because the Time Traveler was his teach in a way and he narrates some of the story.
