           The actions people make are often misinterpreted and not thought to be based upon a psychological factor. The author of The Secret Life of Bees, Sue monastic Kidd, take ons a way to present this idea in cabal with her own real-life experiences and characteristics. Sue Monk Kidd has made many impacts on literature. She has been awarded for her great impact by having books on the bestseller list and good-natured the Quill Award. Kidd also has very strong catholic views and implements symbols from her religion into her novels. Kidd is able to do so by using a character named Lily. Lily from the novel The Secret Life of Bees is a schoolboyish girl who experiences many different emotions and events that cause her to act come forth, perchance for some psychological reason. At times, she seems to be unstable. By course away to Tiburon, South Carolina, Lily is able to discover her past and find her true self. As she discovers her past it becomes clear to the reader why Lily acts in the manner she does: childish, immature, and at times rude. The reader finds out that it is because of her past experiences. Lily ended up with August because she ran away from her tyrannical father T. Ray to Augusts home, the syndicate of the three beekeepers. The women, who live in this house, including Lily, rely on the specialization of the black Madonna (a black women who is in the picture that Lily has from her deceased mother) and the statue of Our Lady of Chains. Finding saturation in the figure of overall women strength allows the women are to heal (overcome past experiences). Lily relies on women strength and she herself becomes a stronger person.
